They may not be very cuddly, but vultures are amazing birds. They can process anthrax, rabies and botulism. They are the cleanup crew. Related to the condor, they range from Canada to South America preferring open areas with a wingspan of 5.5 feet. They are not related to Old World vultures in Europe, Africa and Asia and do not have any vocalizations but for grunts or a low hiss.
